Dr. Britta Denman has written a book for all ages about her blind dog, San.
Dr. Britta Denman has written a book for all ages about her blind dog, San. The book is titled “San’s Adventures at Sleipnir Morgan Horse Farm. “
Lots of things are unique about San. He doesn’t look like most dogs. His legs are a bit too short for his body. He has knock knees, and he was born without eyes. San is extremely loveable and seems to draw even non-dog lovers to his personality. He has had many adventures with his person, Britta. This story takes place at The Denman Family’s Morgan Horse Farm in Delano.
The photographer for the book was Elizabeth L. D. McGee, Images N Memories Photography.
The Shops At Morgan Lane will be hosting a book signing event with Dr. Denman on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, 10 am - 4 pm. The Shops are located on Sleipnir Morgan Horse Farm, at 2214 Columbus Road (McMinn County Route 969), off the Bowater Road (Route 163). Turn at the white sign with red letters on either McMinn County 969 or 970.
These two days will be the only time that Dr. Denman will be in East Tennessee for an autograph session prior to Christmas. Autographed copies will be available in the Shop. Other San memorabilia will also be offered for sale exclusively at The Shops. Weather permitting, San’s Family will also give tours of the site of San’s Adventures. It will be possible to meet most of the characters in San’s adventure book while on the Farm. Other characters from future books will also be available.
San will be staying in Vermont over the holiday, working on his further adventures.
More information can be obtained by calling 423 263 0824 or visiting San’s website at www.santhedog.com or The Shops’ website at www.TheShopsAtMorganLane.com. Sleipnir Morgan Horse Farm (www.SleipnirMorganHorseFarm.com) is the publisher of the book.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book will support various charities including Medica XXI, a non-governmental, not for profit charity co-founded by Dr. Denman and several humane and educational charities focusing on animals, in particular, aged, retired Morgan Horses.
