The 2nd Annual Polk County “Food Fight” East vs. West has been scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4 and is once again being held at the Ocoee Whitewater Center from 11 am to 6 pm. This event is sponsored and organized by the Polk County Chamber of Commerce.
Do you make a "mean" pot of chili? Consider entering the cook-off competition. You can obtain an application by calling or stopping by either Chamber office and speaking with one of our friendly staff members. Participation in the competition is open to everyone and there is no charge for entering the competition (one chili per person, includes one entry to event per contestant).
Each contestant will also receive a commemorative T-shirt marking the second year of this annual event. Cash and prizes up for grabs will be presented to the winners in several different categories.
Crafters, artists, etc are invited to participate in the event. There is no charge for booth space, but you must provide your own tables, chairs, tent, etc. You can pick up a vendor application at the Benton Chamber office.
