Life Care Center of Copper Basin has named CNA Johnnie Loudermilk facility Caregiver of the Year for 2008. Loudermilk has worked at the care facility for ten years.
In addition, Life Care Center of Copper Basin has nominated Loudermilk for district and statewide honors through the Tennessee Health Care Association’s (THCA) Caregiver of the Year program. Six district winners, one from each of THCA’s six geographical districts (Memphis, Jackson, Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville and East Tennessee), will be recognized during the association’s Annual Convention & Trade Show Aug. 24-27 at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. From the six district winners, the statewide Caregiver of the Year will be selected. The statewide Caregiver of the Year will be named and honored on Nursing Home Caregiver Appreciation Day-Friday, November 21 in a ceremony at his facility.
Now in its 10th year, THCA’s Caregiver of the Year program provides member facilities the opportunity to “Celebrate Caregivers” who go above and beyond the call of duty in providing much-needed, round-the-clock Support for patients across the volunteer state. THCA received a total of 74 nominations from member facilities for 2008.
“We are very proud of all our facility Caregivers of the Year for 2008,” said THCA Executive Director Ron Taylor. “Exceptional employees should be recognized and celebrated for their accomplishments. We appreciate and value their contributions, and we encourage the community to join us in this recognition.
